The relief sought in this Writ Petition is to issue a Mandamus directing the respondent to consider and pass an order on the petitioner's representation dated 10.3.2016 with regard to issuance of passport based on his application bearing No.16-1001539489.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, the learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, submitted that the relief sought for herein has become infructuous and hence, nothing survives for adjudication in this writ petition.

3. In view of the above submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this writ petition is dismissed as having become infructuous. No costs.
