Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to issue patta to an extend 3725 sq.ft. comprised in Survey No.342/3 of Maduravoyil Village for the land and building in Plot No.302, 19th Street, Astalakshmi Nagar, Maduravoyal, (Madura Alambakkam Village, Ambathur Taluk), Maduravoyal Taluk, Thirvuallur District to the petitioner based on the applications to the respondents dated on 12.11.2012, 08.6.2015 and 31.10.2016. ORDER
Heard Mr.S.Naganathan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.S.N.Parthasarathy, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 4 and with the consent on either side, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal in the admission stage itself.
2. The case of the petitioner is that he purchased a property comprised in Plot No.302, 19th Street, Astalakshmi Nagar, Maduravoyal Taluk, Thiruvallur District on sale consideration dated 29.11.2010 vide Document No.6460 of 2010 before the Sub Registrar Office, Virugambakkam. He made an application on 12.11.2012 to the third respondent for transfer of patta. He was informed by the respondents that in view of bifurcation of Ambattur Taluk Office, there was a delay in processing the petitioner's application. The petitioner approached the respondents on several occasions for grant of patta.
3. Suddenly to his surprise, the second respondent vide communication dated 8.10.2014 had informed the petitioner to file a fresh application either before the third or fourth respondent to issue patta. Accordingly, the petitioner made a representation on 08.6.2015 to the fourth respondent, and when no action progressed, the petitioner made a representation to the first respondent on 31.10.2016. Inspite of several reminders and representations made by the petitioner, no action was taken by the respondents. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court in this Writ Petition.

Considering the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner and in the light of the above facts and circumstances, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the respondents 1 and 2 to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representations dated 12.11.2012, 08.6.2015 and 31.10.2016. on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5.The writ petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
