The petitioner/tenant has filed an affidavit of undertaking dated 26.02.2026.

2. The revision has been dismissed on 17.11.2025 even at the stage of admission. However, I granted time till 31.01.2026 to enable the petitioner to vacate and hand over vacant possession. The petitioner, had, in fact filed an unconditional affidavit https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

P.B.BALAJI.,J sr of undertaking prior to the order being passed on 17.11.2025. However, despite the same, an application has been taken out in CMP No.2056 of 2026 to seek further four months time to vacate and hand over vacant possession.

3. After hearing the counsel for the parties, at the last hearing, I have indicated that the maximum time that can be granted would be 31.03.2026. The same was also consented to by the learned counsel for the respondent.

4. Accordingly, today, an affidavit has been filed stating that the petitioner would vacate and hand over vacant possession of the tenanted premises by 31.03.2026 without seeking any further extension of time.

5. The said affidavit is recorded. CMP No.2056 of 2026 is partly allowed granting time to vacate and hand over tenanted premises by 31.03.2026.

6. It is needless to state that in the event of the petitioner not vacating and handing over vacant possession by 31.03.2026, it shall be open to the respondent to initiate contempt proceedings.
