The prayer is for a Mandamus directing respondents 1 to 3 to cancel the lease in favour of 4th respondent in respect of the immovable agricultural property in Survey Nos. 65/1 - 2.72 acres Pasungayamangalam Road Kallakurichi belonging to Arulmigu Thillai Govindaraja Perumal Temple and to re-auction the property for lease as per the provisions of Religious institutions (Lease of Immovable properties) Rules 1963 by generating adequate publicity.
2. Mr.M.Karthikeyan, learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents circulates parawise remarks to the effect that nothing survives in this matter, since the lease arrangement had long expired and the HR & CE Department has thereafter taken possession of the property in question.
3. In the light of the aforesaid nothing survives in this matter and this writ petition is closed as is the connected miscellaneous petition. No costs.
