..Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India to issue a writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ order or directions in the nature of a writ directing the respondents to claim and disburse a sum of Rs.78,416/- being interest from 01.04.2010 to 28.02.2012 for the belated payment of Gratuity amount payable to the petitioner as per Rule 45-A of the Tamil Nadu Pension Rules, 1978 and Government orders therefor for allowing interest.

Considering the prayer sought for by the petitioner wherein the petitioner seeks interest for belated payment of gratuity amount for the period from 01.04.2010 to 28.02.2012 for the total amount of Rs.4,00,983/-, this Court is inclined to direct the third respondent to consider the representation, dated 22.3.2012 on its own merit and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of copy of the order.

3. The writ petition stands disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
