Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of Mandamus directing the fifth respondent to conduct the election of the School Parents and Teacher Association in Government Higher Secondary School, Penagar, Ranipet District as per the proceedings of the third respondent vide Na.Ka.No.1241/aa2/2020 dated 13.10.2021. ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) The writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the fifth respondent to conduct the election of School Parents and Teachers Association in Government Higher Secondary School, Penagar, Ranipet District, as per the proceedings of the third respondent.

2. Learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents have filed a counter and typed set of papers, including the schedule for election, with a copy to learned counsel for the petitioner.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner has shown satisfaction on the schedule for election given by the respondents. The reasons for not holding the election earlier seems to be largely on account of Covid-19 pandemic. In any case, now the schedule for election has been given, by virtue of it, the election would be conducted on 29.07.2022, after completing the process given earlier to it.

4. In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to conduct the election as per the schedule given by them.
