O R D E R

This writ petition is filed directing the respondents to publish the award of the Labour Court dated 14.11.2025 in I.D.(T).No.8 of 2024.

2. Upon listening to the arguments of the Learned Counsel for the petitioner and perusing the material records of the case, it can be seen that the Industrial Tribunal, Puducherry, has passed an award on 14.11.2025. According to the petitioner, it is not yet notified. When the petitioner approached the authorities, the authorities are submitting that they are yet to receive a copy of the award and therefore, the matter is kept pending.

3. According to the Learned Counsel for the petitioner, there is urgency in the matter.

4. When the matter came up for admission, Mr.J.Kumaran, Learned Additional Government Pleader, Puducherry, taking notice on behalf the first respondent submitted that he will get instructions as to whether the award is notified or not and will report the same before this Court. Page Nos.2/5

5. Considering the innocuous nature of relief that is prayed for, this writ petition is disposed of on the following terms: (i) If the award is not yet notified, the first respondent is directed to depute a subordinate official forthwith to the Tribunal. The Presiding Officer of the Tribunal shall ensure that a copy of the award is given to the subordinate official and immediately, the same shall be brought on record to the first respondent, who will notify the same as early as possible. (ii) The authority shall act on the web copy of the order without waiting for the certified copy of the order. The first respondent shall depute the personnel on the instructions of the Government Pleader, without even waiting for the web copy of this order. Upon receipt of the award, the same shall be notified within a period of two weeks.

There shall be no order as to costs.
