ORDER
The prayer sought for herein is for a writ of mandamus directing the third respondent to issue patta comprising in Punjai Survey Nos.262/1, measuring about Pura 2.09.5 Ares 5 Acres 15 cents South of Sankarsingh land, West of Road, North of Chetu land, East of Mani land in the middle and 3.00 cents per acre, Pudhupattu Village, Ranipet District by registered sale deed in document No.2574/2014 on the file of the Sub-Registrar Office, Kaveripakkam based on the petitioner's representation dated 03.11.2022.
2. It is a claim of the petitioner that the petitioner purchased three ares of land at S.No.262/1 at Pudhupattu Village, Ranipet District, which was in fact a panchami land and after purchasing the same, the petitioner had applied for patta, which was not considered on the ground that the panchami land is reserved for Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare people, therefore, the patta cannot be given to any third party. Further, it is a case of the petitioner that the petitioner himself is a Adi Dravida, therefore, 2/4
there can be no impediment for the Revenue Authorities to consider the request of the petitioner for issuance of patta.
3. Only, in this regard, the petitioner has given a representation on 03.11.2022 to the third respondent Tahsildar and in order to consider the same, the present writ petition has been filed.
4. Heard Mr.P.Sampath, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
5. Learned Additional Government Pleader would submit that the said representation submitted by the petitioner would be considered and decided on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.
