Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records pertaining to service rules issued in G.O.Ms.No.336 Information and Tourism (Tourism-II) Department dated 22.7.1988 as amended by G.O.Ms.No.78 Tourism and Culture (T2) Department dated 7.5.2008 on the file of the 1st respondent and quash the Rule 3(iv) and (v) of the rules in G.O.Ms.No.336 Information and Tourism (Tourism - II) department dated 22.7.1988 as amended by G.O.Ms.No.78 Tourism and Culture (T2) Department dated 7.5.2008 as arbitrary and discriminatory and consequently direct the respondents to consider and provide appropriate avenue and rules for the promotion of the petitioners who are holding the post of superintendents to the higher post of Tourist Officer in the Department of Tourism prior to considering persons holding the post of Receptionist Grade I and II.
