Prayer in W.P.No.29349 of 2008: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to refer the case of the petitioner under Section 18 of the Land Acquisition Act to Court in respect of his lands in S.F.No.748/B and 739/1 of Karumathampatty Village, Palladam Taluk, Coimbatore District within the stipulated time of two months.

2.Today, when these writ petitions were taken up, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents has submitted that the claim made by the petitioners have already been considered by the respondents by making reference under Section 18 of the Land Acquisition Act. He has also produced the proceedings of the Land Acquisition Officer and Revenue Divisional Officer, Coimbatore, addressed to the Subordinate Judge, Sub Court, Tirupur in Ref.No.3715/09/A3 dated 27.01.2010 and the proceedings of the Revenue Divisional Officer (South), Coimbatore, addressed to the Additional Public Prosecutor, Madras High Court, Chennai in Na.Ka.No.3715/2009/A2 dated 12.12.2018, to that effect.

3. In view of the above, nothing further remains to be considered in these writ petitions and accordingly the writ petitions are closed. No costs.
