PRAYER : Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure to call for the records pertinent to the F.I.R. In Crime No.714 of 2017 pending investigation on the file of the respondent police and to quash the same.

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the F.I.R. in Crime No.714 of 2017 pending investigation on the file of the first respondent police.

2. Earlier, on 25.04.2022, this petition was listed along with the connected Crl.O.P.Nos.19733 and 20782 of 2018. The petitioner in all these petitions is one and the same. Crl.O.P.Nos.19733 and 20782 of 2018 were argued by the learned counsel Mr.P.Sarnath and both the petitions were disposed of by this Court on 25.04.2022.

3. As far as Crl.O.P.No.20524 of 2018 is concerned, there was no representation for the petitioner on 25.04.2022. Hence, the petition was directed to be listed under the caption 'For Dismissal'. Accordingly, the case is listed today under the caption 'For Dismissal'.

4. Crl.O.P.No.20524 of 2018 is filed seeking to quash the F.I.R. in Crime No.714 of 2017. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first respondent/Police submitted that in this case, investigation has been completed and the same has been taken on file in C.C.No.306 of 2022 on the file of the XV Metropolitan Magistrate Court, George Town, Chennai and the case is posted on 05.05.2022 for the appearance of the petitioner/accused.
