This matter is listed today at the instance of the Registry seeking certain clarification.
2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that, this Court, while entertaining the Writ petition granted interim injunction, vide order dated 05.02.2020, on condition that, the amount of Rs.1,81,071/- shall be invested in an interest fetching Fixed Deposit in any Nationalized Bank in the name of the Registrar General of this Court and the same was complied with by the petitioner. Subsequently, pursuant to the final order dated 28.03.2023 passed in the main Writ petition, the petitioner paid the disputed amount of Rs.1,81,701/- to the respondent board. Hence, he submitted that, it would suffice, if this Court issues direction to the Registry to return the amount deposited in an interest fetching Fixed Deposit back to the petitioner along with accrued interest. 3. In view of the above, Registry is directed to return the amount deposited by the petitioner along with accrued interest, back to the petitioner within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
