This Application has been filed by the applicants praying to extend the time for completion of arbitral proceedings and passing of award by the Arbitral Tribunal by eight months time.
2. The learned counsel for the applicants submitted that this Court vide its order in A.No.5550 of 2022 dated 08.12.2022, extended the time to complete the arbitral proceedings for a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of that order. The time period of said eight weeks extended by this Court would come to an end on 17.02.2023. Hence, the learned counsel prayed this Court to extend the time for completion of arbitral proceedings and passing of award, for a further period of eight months.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that she has no serious objection to this application being allowed. 1/3

Considering the reasons stated by the applicants in the affidavit filed in support of this application and having regard to the above submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Court is inclined to allow this Application. Accordingly, this Application is allowed and the time for completion of arbitral proceedings and passing of award, is extended for a further period of eight months. The learned Arbitrator is directed to complete the arbitration proceedings, within a period of eight months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 15.02.2023 mrr 2/3
