Petition praying that in the circumstances stated therein and in the Memorandum of Grounds in Criminal APPEAL No.533 OF 2017 on the file of the High Court, the High Court will be pleased to suspend the sentence imposed in C.C.No.17 of 2011 on the file of Special Judge under Prevention of Corruption Act, Chennai, dated 31.07.2017 and enlarge the Petitioner on bail till the disposal of Crl.A.No.533 of 2017 on the file of this Hon'ble High Court.

Order : This petition coming on for orders upon perusing the petition and the Memorandum of Grounds in Crl.A.No.533 of 2017 on the file of the High Court and upon hearing the arguments of MR.N.R.ELANGO SENIOR COUNSEL FOR M/S.ARUNA ELANGO, Advocate for the petitioner and of MR. R.RAVICHANDRAN, Govt. Advocate ( Crl. Side) on behalf of the Respondent the court made the following order:- Seeking to suspend the sentence imposed on the petitioner by the learned Special Judge under Prevention of Corruption Act, Chennai dated 31.07.2017, in C.C.No.17 of 2011 and enlarge the petitioner on bail till the disposal of criminal appeal, the petitioner is before this Court with this petition.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (crl.side) appearing for the respondent.

3. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, this miscellaneous petition is allowed and the order passed by the learned Special Judge under Prevention of Corruption Act, Chennai dated 31.07.2017 in C.C. No.17 of 2011, is suspended on condition that the petitioner shall execute a bond for a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- (Rupees One lakh only) with two sureties each for a like sum to the satisfaction of the learned Special Judge under Prevention of Corruption Act, Chennai. Further, the petitioner shall appear before the trial Court

on every first working day of every month at 10.30 a.m until further orders.
