ORDER

The petitioner has filed this contempt petition for violation of order dated 15.12.2009 in W.P.No.25751 of 2009.

This Court in W.P.No.25751 of 2009 had directed the 2nd respondent/Assistant Revenue Officer, Zone VIII, Division 122, Corporation of Chennai, Chennai-24, to consider the petitioner's representation dated 21.03.2009 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks. Though the order has been passed on 15.12.2009 and almost 12 years have lapsed, the order has not been complied with. No stay has also been obtained against the order.

3. Ms.Karthikaa Ashok, learned Standing Counsel for the respondents/contemnors submits that the order will be complied within a period of one week from today.

4. Considering the fact that the state is going for election, this Court directs the respondents to pass orders within a period of thirty days from today positively, failing which, the petitioner will be entitled to initiate fresh contempt petition.
