Contempt Petitions are filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of
Courts Act, 1971 praying to punish the respondents for willful disobedience of the order dated 18.11.2008 made in W.P.Nos.11072 & 11073 of 2005. For Petitioner ::

Mr.P.Balathandayutham Special Government Pleader COMMON ORDER (Order of the Court was made by S.S.SUNDAR,J.) This Court has earlier indicated that the petitioner shall submit their claim with details within a period of four weeks from the date on which the petitioner was furnished with the information or documents that are required by the petitioner to submit their claim. Now it is represented that the petitioner had collected the necessary documents which are in the custody of the respondents and have submitted their claim for compensation and for patta. This Court even by order dated 29.11.2022 observed that the claim that would be submitted by the petitioner shall be considered by the Director of Survey and Settlement after holding enquiry and a reasoned
order be passed within a period of twelve weeks from the date on which the petitioner submits the claim.
2. Since the petitioner has now submitted their claim, the respondents shall consider the same on merits, after holding enquiry and giving adequate opportunity to the petitioner, and appropriate orders shall be passed within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With this observation, the contempt petitions are closed. Post the matters under the caption 'for reporting compliance' after twelve weeks.
