When the matter is taken up for the hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that this Writ Petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondents to promote the petitioner. But, the petitioner was promoted to the higher post during the pendency of this Writ Petition and as such no further adjudication is required in this Writ Petition.

2. In view of the above, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
