The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 10.02.2022 for the offences punishable under Sections 376(2)(n), 506(2), 363, 366 and 376(3) of IPC and Sections 5(1) & 6(1) of POCSO Act and Section 67(B) of the Information Technology Act in Crime No.2 of 2023, seeks bail.

2.But however, on the side of the respondent it is stated that consequent to investigation, final report had been filed and the matter is now pending trial before the Special Court for POCSO cases, Thiruvannamalai, in Spl.S.C.No.54 of 2023. It is stated that evidence of all the prosecution witnesses had been examined and only the Medical Professional and the Investigating Officer will have to be examined. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner, however, pointed out the period of incarceration suffered by the petitioner and that, this is the second petition seeking bail.

smv 3.A direction is given to the Special Court for POCSO Cases, Thiruvannamalai, to complete the trial in Spl.S.C.No.54 of 2023 on or before 30.04.2024.

4.The learned counsel for the accused may also co-operate in cross-examining the witnesses and the accused must also co-operate in answering the questioning under Section 313 Cr.P.C and both the learned counsel for the prosecution and the accused must come forward to advance arguments without any delay to enable the Court to dispose of the case on or before 30.04.2024.

5.Recording as above, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
