The learned Government Advocate, by relying upon the statement in the counter affidavit submitted that, by virtue of the interim orders dated 19.10.2004, the petitioner herein was permitted to participate in the 100 metres re-running test. However, the order came to be served on them only on 08.11.2004 and in the mean time, the re-running has already been completed. He further submitted that pursuant to the present recruitment, the respondents have already completed two Grade-II women police recruitments after 1999. Furthermore, many candidates have approached this Court and obtained orders to participate in the re-running test, which has already been completed. After lapse of so many years and if the present Writ Petition is ordered, it would cause serious prejudice to the entire recruitment process.

2. Taking into consideration the submission made and also the fact that the recruitment happened about 20 years back, it would not be appropriate to order the Writ Petition at this stage.

3. Hence, the Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs. Sd/- Assistant Registrar(CS-VI) //True Copy// Sub Assistant Registrar hvk To
