Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records relating to the proceedings of the District Revenue Officer, Karur and made in Ni.Mu.Ci.3/19502/2002, dated 27.06.2003 the second respondent herein and the letter issued by the Commissioner of Land Administration, Ezhilagam, Chepauk, Chennai-600 005 in Letter No.K3/27436, dated 17.08.2009, the first respondent herein and quash the same and consequently direct the respondents 1 to 3 herein and their subordinates to incorporate the name of the petitioner with respect to S.Nos.205 and 203, Lakshmi Narayana Samudram Village, Karur Taluk and District in the revenue records.

ORDER

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that during the pendency of this petition, the petitioner had passed away. Therefore, the present petition may be dismissed as abated with liberty to the legal heirs of the petitioner to file a fresh petition.

2. Recording the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Writ Petition is dismissed as abated. The legal heirs of the petitioner are at liberty to file a fresh petition, if they want to pursue the case. No costs.
