Prayer: Writ Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ or order of direction or any other Writ in the nature Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioners' representation dated 30.07.2021 for executing and registering the sale deed in respect of plot No.16 bearing door No.17/8, Second Street, Rangarajapuram, Kodambakkam, Chennai-600 024 in favour of the petitioners at the value fixed by the Registration Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.

WMP No.2985 of 2022 filed seeking permission to file a single Writ Petition is ordered.

2. Ms.P.T.Ramadevi, learned Standing Counsel accepts notice for the respondents and is armed with instructions to proceed with the matter finally. Hence, by consent expressed by both parties, this Writ Petition is disposed finally even at the stage of admission.

3. The petitioners, who are siblings seek a mandamus directing the second respondent/the Zonal Officer, Greater Chennai Corporation, Zone 10 to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 30.07.2021 for execution and registering the sale deed in respect of plot No.6 bearing door No.17/8, Second Street, Rangarajapuram, Kodambakkam, Chennai-600 024 in favour of the petitioners at the value fixed by the Registration Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.

4. Ms.Ramadevi assures the Court that the representation of the petitioners will be considered in accordance with law and in line with the principles of natural justice.

5. It is not in dispute that the petitioners have indeed made request as aforesaid before the respondents, insofar as there are communications by the Corporation that has been placed on file indicating the exchange of correspondences in this regard inter se the parties.

6. Thus, acceding to the request of the petitioners, the mandamus as sought is issued. R2 will consider the representation of the petitioners, most recent being dated 30.07.2021, hear the petitioners and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law and all applicable Rules and Regulations, within a period of eight (8) weeks from today.

7. This Writ Petition is disposed in the aforesaid terms. No costs.
