The petitioner, being a Village Panchayat President of Ambapur Village Panchayat, Ariyalur District, has filed this writ petition challenging the correctness of the order passed in G.O.Ms.No.587, dated 07.10.2009, by the second respondent confirming the order of removal passed by the first respondent under Section 205(1) of the Tamil Nadu Panchayat Act, 1994. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2. Since the tenure of the office of the Panchayat President has been expired, nothing survives in the present writ petition filed by the petitioner questioning the order of removal passed by the first respondent against him. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed as having become infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is also closed.
