Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 herein to remove and cancel the name of Kannan, Ammavasai and Ettiyan in the "A" register, maintained by the respondent 1 to 3 herein and to restore the petitioner's name, for the land comprised in Survey No. 96/4 and 97/7 Mavananthal village, Melmalaiyanur Taluk, Villupuram district. O R D E R

The present writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to remove the name of Kannan, Ammavasai and Ettiyan in the "A" register, maintained by the respondent 1 to 3 and to restore the petitioner's name, for the land comprised in Survey No. 96/4 and 97/7 Mavananthal village, Melmalaiyanur Taluk, Villupuram district.

2. Since no adverse orders have been passed against the 4th, 5th and 6th respondents, notice to the above respondents is dispensed with.

3.The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner's father one Mr.Govindan was the absolute owner of above said property. After his demise, the petitioner was in possession and enjoyment of the property. Thereafter, the petitioner came to know that inadvertently, respondents 4 to 6 names were wrongly entered into the revenue records. Therefore, the petitioner made a representation to the respondents 1 to 3 to remove their names in the "A" Register, maintained by the official respondents and to restore the petitioner's name. However, till date, no orders have been passed on the representation made by the petitioner. Hence, this Writ Petition has been filed.

4.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice if this Court may directs respondents 1 to 3 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.07.2020 within the time frame that may be fixed by this Court. 5.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner's representation will be considered by the respondents 1 to 3 within the time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

6.Considering the facts and circumstances, the respondents 1 to 3 are directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.07.2020 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after affording opportunity of hearing to the aggrieved party if any, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. With the aforesaid directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
