Prayer :- Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to grant assignment patta for the land at Door No.New No.30, A.M.C.Road, Stalin Cottage, Dindigul comprised in survey No.1113 at Settinaickenpatty Village, Dindigul District in favour of the petitioner. ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to grant assignment patta for the land at Door No.New No.30, A.M.C.Road, Stalin Cottage, Dindigul comprised in survey No.1113 at Settinaickenpatty Village, Dindigul District in favour of the petitioner.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner filed memo dated 11.08.2021, the relevant portion of which is extracted hereunder:

"It is submitted that as per the order of this Hon'ble Court passed in WP.Nos.25758 of 2010, 1769 of 2011, 2633 of 2011 and 10315 of 2011 the First Respondent was directed to consider the representations submitted by the petitioners in the said writ petitions. Pursuant to the order of this Hon'ble Court, the First Respondent granted an opportunity to put forth their explanations in respect of assignment patta relating to land in survey No.1113, Settinaickenpatty Village, Dindigul District and the First Respondent passed an order dated 02.04.2012. The present petitioner who is also one of traders doing business in the said locality was also granted an opportunity to put forth his explanation before the First respondent in the said proceedings. Thereafter the First respondent passed an order dated 02.04.

2012 and the same have been challenged before this Hon'ble Court by way of writ petitions Nos.896 and 4708/2013 by the private respondents, which are pending before this Hon'ble Court. Hence, the petitioner would like to withdraw the above writ petition since the petitioner was already granted the relief by the First Respondent."

3. In view of the memo filed by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn. No order as to costs.
