COMMON ORDER These Writ Petitions have been filed for direction directing the respondents to publish the result of the petitioners for TNPSC Group - II examination held on 17.11.2007 and direct the respondents to call the petitioners for interview based on the marks secured by the petitioners and appoint them to any one of the posts.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned counsel for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.

3. The petitioners appeared for Combine Subordinate Services, 2007 (Group II) Written Examination in Gudalur Centre, even though they are residing in different Districts. The said examination was held at Gudalur Centre, Nilgiris District, which was one of the Examination Centres. After examination, answer sheets were handed over to the Revenue Officials at about 08.00 p.m on that date of examination i.e.,17.11.2007. In that connection, two Assistant Section Officers and one Under Secretary of Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission have

involved in some irregularities and they were referred to the State CBCID for investigation. Based on that, a criminal case has been registered against them and it is pending for Trial for the serious offences committed by them. That apart, similar writ petitions were dismissed by this Court, in view of the allegations made against the conduct of examination of Group II Services held on 17.11.2007, the result of all the candidates who have appeared at Gudalur Centre will be withheld.

4. Therefore, the prayer sought for in these writ petitions cannot be granted and these writ petitions are devoid of merits and are liable to be dismissed. Accordingly, these Writ Petitions are dismissed. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous petitions are closed. No costs. 18.08.2023 Internet : Yes Index : Yes/No Speaking order/Non-speaking order mn
