O R D E R

(This case has been heard through video conference) This Criminal Original Petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.434 of 2013 on the file of Judicial Magistrate, Alandur, Chennai.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner had let out one of the portions in the ground floor to the 2nd respondent. There was a landlord and tenant dispute between the petitioner and the 2nd respondent. The allegation made against the petitioner is that on 04.02.2013, he is said to have abused and attacked the 2nd respondent, due to which, he sustained injuries. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned Counsel for the Government (Crl. Side) would submit that even though the e-Court status shows that the case has been disposed of, the case in C.C.No.434 of 2013 is still pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate (FTC), Alandur. He would submit that the trial has already commenced. There are totally 7 witnesses in this case and so far, two https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

witnesses have been examined and the case is now posted for further hearing on 20.07.2021.

4. In view of the above facts and circumstances of the case, the trial Court is directed to complete the trial within a period of three months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
