PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, or any other appropriate writ, direction or order in the nature of a Writ, calling for records relating to the order of suspension passed by the 1st respondent in his Pro.Pa.Ve.No.2/B/86 dated 16.08.1986, quash the same as illegal and consequently direct the respondents herein to reinstate the petitioner in service with all backwages and consequential service and monetary benefits including subsistence allowance due and payable to her.

The petitioner herein claims that she was suspended from her service on 16.08.1986 by the 1st respondent, while she was employed as a cook. The order of suspension passed in the year https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

1986 came to be challenged after a lapse of almost 18 years. The affidavit filed in support of the Writ Petition as well as the documents produced before this Court in the typed set of papers does not reveal the reason for approaching this Court after a period of 18 years. The delay in filing the Writ Petition without any proper explanation itself would be fatal to the petitioner's case.

2. On this short ground of lapses, I do not find any reason to interfere with the suspension order challenged belatedly. Hence, the present Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs.
