When the writ petition was taken up on two earlier ocassions, the learned counsel for the petitioner requested for adjournment and the same was granted. When the writ petition was listed on 14.09.2022, there was no 2 / 5

representation for the petitioner. Hence, Registry was directed to list the writ petition under the caption, "for dismissal". Even today, when the writ petition is called, the learned counsel for the petitioner is absent. Therefore, it can now be inferred that the petitioner is not interested in prosecuting the Writ Petition. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands dismissed for non prosecution. No costs.
