Respondents PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records of the second respondent in his order dated 25.08.2009 passed in P.G.No.213 of 2007 and to quash the same and forbearing the respondents from demanding the payment of Rs.22,891/- under the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972.

O R D E R

The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the writ petitioner as well as the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the second and third respondents have made a submission that the Gratuity amount, as applicable with reference to the Act and the Rules, is already settled in favour of the workman and the workman also acknowledged the receipt of the said amount.

2. Thus, the grievance of the employee was redressed and therefore, no further adjudication is required in the present writ petition.

3. Accordingly, the present writ petition stands closed. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
