JUDGMENT

This appeal has been filed against the order dated 12.08.2016 passed by the learned Principal District Judge, Kancheepuram District, Chengalpattu in I.D.O.P. No. 209 of 2013.

2. The parties to this Appeal have filed a Joint Memorandum of compromise dated 26.10.2021 before this Court. As per the Joint Memorandum of Compromise, both the parties have consented for the dissolution of their marriage on condition that the Appellant pays a permanent alimony of Rs.14,50,000/- to the respondent on or before 31.01.2022. The terms of the compromise are mentioned in the Joint Memorandum filed before this Court today. The Appellant as well as the respondent have duly signed the compromise memo and their respective counsels have also signed the same. Both the parties are present before this Court along with their respective counsels.

3. The Appellant has also submitted that the dissolution of marriage with the respondent will take place only on payment https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

of the entire permanent alimony amount of Rs.14,50,000/- on or before 31.01.2022. The terms of the compromise as per the Joint Memorandum and the submission of Joseph Paul, the Appellant that the dissolution of marriage with the respondent shall take place only on payment of the entire permanent alimony amount of Rs.14,50,000/- on or before 31.01.2022 are recorded.

4. In terms of Joint Memorandum of Compromise dated 26.10.2021 as well as the submission made by the Appellant that the dissolution of marriage shall come into effect only on payment of the permanent alimony amount of Rs.14,50,000/- on or before 31.01.2022, this Appeal is disposed of. The Memorandum of compromise dated 26.10.2021 shall form part of this Judgment and Decree. No costs.
