Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for the issuance of a writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.04.2017 and grant permission to the petitioner in order to conduct the cultural and adventure program and to give police protection which is scheduled to be held on 04.05.2017 in Sri Ettiyammal Temple at Ramachandrapuram Village, Venkattasamuthiram Post, Ambur T.K., Vellore District.

Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for the issuance of a writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 13.04.2017 and grant permission to the petitioner in order to conduct the cultural and adventure program and to give police protection which is scheduled to be held on 25.04.2017 in Sri Mariyamman Temple at Mottur Village, Thimmampettai Post, Vanniyambadi T.K., Vellore District.

For Respondent : Mr.K.Balamurugan in all W.Ps.

Government Advocate COMMON ORDER The petitioners have filed above Writ Petitions to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to give permission to conduct the cultural programme at Sri Mariyamman Temple; Sri Ettiyammal Temple at Ramachandrapuram Village, Venkattasamuthiram Post, Ambur T.K., Vellore District and Sri Mariyamman Temple at Mottur Village, Thimmampettai Post, Vanniyambadi T.K., Vellore District on 02.05.2017, 04.05.2017 and 25.04.2017 by considering their representations dated 12.04.2017, 12.04.2017 and 13.04.2017 respectively. 2.Heard learned counsel for petitioner and learned Government Advocate.

3.It is the case of the petitioners that inspite of the representations being given to the respondent on 12.04.2017 and 13.04.2017 for conducting cultural programme, the respondent has not passed orders till today.

4.A Division Bench of this Court in W.P.(MD).No.3773 of 2017 by order dated 03.03.2017 in similar circumstances directed the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation and dispose of the same.

5.Following the order passed by the Division Bench, this Court directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 06.04.2017 and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, on or before 18.04.2017. This Court makes it clear that the fact of the order being issued today shall not weigh with the authority concerned and the authority shall take a decision solely upon merits.

With the above observations, these Writ Petitions are disposed of. No costs.
