ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's application dated 03.07.2023 for conducting timing conference as per Rule 248 of the Tamil Nadu Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989 in respect of his vehicle bearing Registration No.TN-70-AD-7819, on the interstate route Balanthotanappli to Bangalore, via., Denkanikotta, Hosur.
2. Heard Mr.S.Sarathkumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.S.Prabhakaran, learned Government Advocate who takes notice for the respondents.
3. The petitioner is holding an interstate stage carriage bus permit issued by the 2nd respondent in respect of the vehicle bearing Registration No.TN 70 AD 7819 for the route from Balathotanapally to Page No.2 of 4
Bangalore. The said permit is valid upto 30.12.2028. The petitioner is operating totally six singles on the said route. The petitioner made a request to the second respondent for revision of timings. But, the second respondent has passed an order on 23.06.2023, rejecting the request of the petitioner to revise the timings of the petitioner's stage carriage. Thereafter, the petitioner made an application on 03.07.2023 to the respondents for conducting timing conference in respect of his stage carriage vehicle as per Rule 248 of the Tamil Nadu Motor Vehicles Rules. Despite acknowledging the petitioner's application, the respondents have not passed any orders. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.
4. The learned Government Advocate for the respondents submitted that if short time is given, the representation submitted by the petitioner will be considered and orders will be passed.
5. In view of the above submissions, this Writ Petition is disposed and the respondents are directed to consider the representation of the Page No.3 of 4
