The Writ Petitioner is challenging the property tax imposed by the local panchayat and the prayer was settled before the Full Bench of this Court in the case of The President, K. Vellakulam Panchayat, Kallikudi Chatram, Madurai District Vs. Kamaraj College of Engineering and Technology, Managing Board reported in 2009 5 CTC 289 and Single Bench of this Court in case of Kamadenu Arts and Science Vs. The State of Tamil Nadu. 2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that during the pendency of the Writ petition, the petitioner paid the property tax; however he sought liberty to file an appropriate application for exemption from payment of property tax before the concerned authority. In view of the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, liberty is granted to make appropriate application before the appropriate authority for exemption. Writ petition is dismissed with the above observation. No costs.
