Respondent/Complainant PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, to direct the respondent Police to alter the First Information Report in Crime No.4 of 2021 as offence under Sections 420, 465, 466, 467 of IPC and Sections 3 & 4 of Domestic Violence Act and Section 4 of Women Harassment Act and also the offence under the Dowry Prohibition Act in addition to 498(A) and 406 of IPC.

ORDER

This Criminal Original petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondent police to alter the First Information Report in Crime No.04 of 2021 on the file of the respondent Police.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submitted that the First Information Report was registered only on 11.01.2021 for an offence under Sections 498 (A) and 406 of IPC. The investigation is in progress. If in the course of investigation, the respondent police collect sufficient materials, the offenses will be altered accordingly.

3. In view of the above submission, there shall be a direction to the respondent Police to continue with the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

investigation effectively and based on the materials collected during the course of investigation, either alter the FIR or file the final report by adding the necessary offences made out.

4. This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of accordingly.
