Respondents Prayer:- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of mandamus directing the 1st and 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 29.10.2015 with regard to promotion to the post of Junior Assistant and to pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a stipulated time limit to be fixed by this Court.

ORDER

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. Mr.P.Sanjay Gandhi, learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. The petitioner would state that she joined the 2nd respondent / College and Hospital on 03.01.2008 as Record Clerk and she was accommodated from the list of retrenched census workers of the year 1991 by the 2nd respondent and the services of the petitioner were regularised with effect from 21.06.2011 by the 2nd respondent and claims to have rendered more than 8 years of service and thereby, fully qualified to be promoted as Junior Assistant and in this regard, she has also submitted a representation dated 29.10.2015 to the 2nd respondent praying for https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

her promotion to the post of Junior Assistant and the 2nd respondent, vide Letter in Na.Ka.No.589/Ni.2/2015 dated Nil/01/2016, has forwarded the same to the 1st respondent and however, orders are yet to be passed. Therefore, the petitioner came forward to file the present writ petition. Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Sanjay Gandhi, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. Though the petitioner has prayed for a larger relief, this Court, in the light of the facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner, directs the 1st respondent to act on the letter / proposal of the 2nd respondent dated Nil.01.2016 made in Na.Ka.No.5389/Ni.2/2015, on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of ten weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.

The writ petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
