O R D E R
Earlier, this Court by an order dated 17.03.2020 in W.P.No.16893 of 2013 directed the 1st respondent therein to consider petitioner's representation and pass suitable orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks. Alleging that the order has not been complied with within a stipulated period, the present Contempt Petition has been filed.
2. Today, when the matter taken up for hearing, Mr.P.Baladhandayutham, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for respondent submitted that, pursuant to the order passed by this Court, the Government, on considering the petitioner's claim, passed a G.O. (D) No.239, Finance (Treasuries and Accounts-I) Department, dated 12.04.2022 and also produced the copy of the order. Hence, this Contempt Petition may be closed. However, learned counsel appearing for petitioner would submit that, even though the promotion was given, consequential monetary benefits was not given to the petitioners.
3. Considering the fact that the petitioner's claim was considered and the Government had passed a G.O. If the petitioner has any grievance over the same, it is always open to him to challenge the same in the manner 2/3
known to law. In the said circumstances, as the order passed by this court has been duly complied with, no further adjudication is required in this Contempt Petition.
