ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for direction directing the second respondent to provide employment on compassionate ground to the petitioner being the legal heir of petitioner's father (late) Elamurugan based on the petitioner representation dated 16.03.2023.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. The petitioner's father had worked as Village Administrative Officer, Periya Kottakulam, Krishnagiri District. While he was in service, he died on 23.02.2022, leaving behind his wife, the petitioner and the respondents 3 and 4. According to the petitioner, he is the only son having basic educational qualification for appointment on compassionate ground. Therefore, he applied for employment on compassionate ground.

4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the first and second respondents submitted that no application has been received so far from the petitioner, seeking appointment on compassionate ground.

5. Considering the above facts and circumstances, the petitioner is directed to submit a fresh application before the second respondent seeking

employment on compassionate ground, in a proper form with all required documents along with No Objection Certificate from the respondents 3 and 4. On receipt of the same, the second respondent is directed to consider the same and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks thereafter.

6. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
