Respondents PRAYER:- Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus to call for the records relating to the detention order passed in C3/D.O.No.55/2020 dated 26.12.2020 by the 2nd respondent and quash the same and direct the respondents to produce the detenu Babu @ Vijayakumar, son of Pandu, aged about 28 years, now confined in Central Prison, Salem, before this Court and set him at liberty forthwith.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] The petitioner challenges the impugned order of detention in C3/D.O.No.55/2020 dated 26.12.2020, detaining his son as "Drug Offender" under Section 2(e) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) reports that the order of detention passed against the detenu has been revoked by the Government by its order in G.O.Rt.No.957, Home, Prohibition and Excise (IX) Department, dated 25.02.2021 and he has also produced a copy of the Government Order. Recording the same, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
