Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the entire records in pursuant to the order vide R.No.47018/E-5/A3/06 dated 09.11.2007 on the file of the second respondent and quash the same and direct the respondents to grant extension of joining time to the petitioner to join the post of Assistant Surgeon in Tamil Nadu Medical Services till the completion of the post graduate medical degree course currently being undergone by the petitioner at Kilpauk Medical College, Chennai and allow the writ petition. Mr.T.P.Prabakaran, learned counsel on record for sole writ petitioner and Mr.C.Selvaraj, learned State counsel on behalf of all three respondents are before this Virtual Court.
2. Learned counsel for writ petitioner submits that captioned writ petition was filed assailing an order dated https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
09.11.2007 made by second respondent regarding time for joining as Assistant Surgeon in 2003-2004 batch, as the writ petitioner was then pursuing a Post Graduate course. Learned counsel submits that thereafter much water has flown under the bridge. Thereafter, the writ petitioner did not join the said service as Assistant Surgeon and captioned writ petition has now become infructuous is his further say. This submission is recorded.
3. Captioned Writ Petition is disposed of as closed (having become infructuous) recording the stated position of the writ petitioner. Though obvious, it is made clear that no opinion or views have been expressed on the merits of the matter in this order. There shall be no order as to cost.
