Prayer :- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents and in particularly respondent no.1 to provide relief amount of 75% of Rs.5,00,000/- contemplated in Rule 12(4) and Annexure-I of the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Rules, 1995 to the petitioner.

Heard Mr.P.Vijendran, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Ms.P.Rajalakshmi, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

2.The petitioner would admit that 75% of the amount payable as per original quantum fixed, has been paid to the petitioner, namely Rs.3,75,000/-. According to the petitioner, offence was committed in April 2014 and the amendment having come into force on February 2014, she is entitled to the additional benefit of Rs.1,87,500/-. 3.In the light of the above, this Writ Petition is disposed of directing the 1st respondent to consider the representation of the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

petitioner on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. No costs.
