ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to call for the records of the impugned FIR No.80/2023 dated 23.7.2023 registered for the offences under Sections 294(b), 323, 506 (i) r/w 34 of IPC on the file of the Kalapet Police Station, Pondicherry.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the Additional Public Prosecutor (Pondichery) appearing for the first respondent-Police and perused the materials available on record.
3. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the second respondent has appeared in person.
4. This Court vide order dated 14.02.2024, had already referred the matter to the Mediation Centre, to settle the issues between the parties. The issue between the parties relates to custody of child which was amicably settled 2/4
now and an agreement was also entered into between the parties before the Mediation Centre. The said agreement was placed before this Court as the parties themselves entered into a compromise and agreed to withdraw the complaint registered before the Kalapet Police Station in F.I.R.No.80 of 2023.
5. Based on the said compromise arrived at before the Mediation Centre, F.I.R in Crime No.80 of 2023 filed by the respondent stands quashed. In view of the above, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
