Contempt petition filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 to punish the respondent for the wilful intention and deliberate disobedience to comply the order dated 04.07.2024 of this Court order in WP.No.17788 of 2024.

ORDER

This contempt petition has been filed to punish the respondent for having disobeyed the order dated 04.07.2024 of this Court in WP.No.17788 of 2024, thereby directed the respondent herein to pay the interest on the belated payment of the terminal benefits to the petitioner at the rate of 6% per annum, commencing from the date of the retirement, till the date of actual disbursement, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of the order.

2. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent submitted that the order passed by this Court on 04.07.2024 in WP.No.17788 of 2024 has been complied with by the respondent.

3. Recording the submission of the learned Standing Counsel, this contempt petition is closed.
