ORDER
This writ petition has been filed praying to quash the Order dated 04.11.2025 bearing the reference number.HRMD/SUP/01/2025-26 issued by the 1st respondent and consequently direct the Respondents to grant compassionate transfer to the Petitioner to Lucknow or any nearby region in North India. 2.
The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitiner joined Indian Overseas Bank in the year 2014 as Clerk at Lucknow. In June 2019, she was promoted as Assistant Manager (Scale-I). Thereafter, she was transferred to Meerut Region and retransferred to Lucknow in the year 2020. However, again she was transferred on 15.04.2023 to the Regional Office, Vellore nearly 2000 km away from Lucknow. However, the grievance of the petitioner is that she has been under continuous medical treatment for chronic anxiety disorder / acute stress reaction with panic attacks while her mother is suffering from advanced liver cirrhosis, osteoarthritis and and ovarian tumor, rendering her bedridden and requiring constant care. Only the petitioner is taking care of her mother. Therefore, she made multiple representations to
transfer to North India on compassionate and medical grounds and the same have not been considered. Hence, this writ petition has been filed. 3.
In response, the learned counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the grievance of the petitioner was ventilated before the appropriate authority. Now the appropriate authority has arrived at a conclusion granting liberty to transfer the petitioner to Delhi Region as one time measure without treating the petitioner's case as precedent. Hence, this Court may direct the petitioner to get relieved from Vellore Region and to report before the Delhi Region for further posting order.

In view of the above, the petitioner is directed to report before the Vellore Region within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order and the Vellore Region is directed to relieve the petitioner forthwith. Thereafter, the petitioner is directed to report before the Delhi Region within a period of two weeks thereafter and the Delhi Region may pass appropriate orders to give posting orders to the petitioner. It is made clear that the said transfer order may not be treated as precedent and it is applicable only to the peculiar circumstances of the case.

With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
