When the writ petition is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he has not been able to contact the petitioner and get instructions, even though he had addressed a letter to the petitioner.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner thus submits that he is unable to advance arguments in the matter.

3. Since the petitioner, after filing the present writ petition, has not contacted his counsel to provide instructions in the matter and as the counsel has expressed his inability to argue in the absence of details from the client, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served by keeping the present writ petition pending, more particularly, the petitioner having assailed the action of the respondents, in recruiting the third respondent, who is stated to have been working since, the date of appointment in 2008.
