This writ petition has been filed challenging the Transfer Order No.Na.Ka.A.3/4110/2004 dated 12.10.2004 and seeking a direction to the second respondent to allow the petitioner to continue as a Panchayat Assistant of Anaikattu Panchayat in Vellore District.

2.It is seen that the petitioner was aged about 53 years at the time of filing the writ petition. Now he would be retired from service. No representation on behalf of the petitioner either through counsel or by himself.

3.Since the petitioner has retired from service, the prayer made in the writ petition challenging the transfer order has become infructuous. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
