O R D E R
The petitioner has come to this Court seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing respondents 2 and 3 to conduct an enquiry for appointment of Headmistress in the 4th respondent school on the petitioner representation dated 03.04.2017 after giving opportunity.
2. The petitioner, who was appointed as B.T. Assistant in Botany in the 4th respondent school viz., Concordia Higher Secondary School, Vellore District, finding that two other senior Teachers are to retire from service in May 2017, submitted a representation dated 03.04.2017, stating that he has become qualified to the post of Headmistress in the fourth respondent school and the same was acknowledged by the respondents on 07.04.2017. However, till date, the same was not considered. Therefore, the petitioner has come to this Court seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents 2 and 3 to conduct an enquiry for appointment of Headmistress in the fourth respondent school. However, the petitioner, without insisting the said prayer, limited the same and sought for only a direction to consider the pending representation.
3. Heard the submissions of Mr.P.Sanjay Gandhi, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice on behalf of respondents 1 to 3.
4. This Court, considering the limited prayer, without going to the merits of the matter, hereby directs the respondents 2 and 3 to consider the pending representation of the petitioner on merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
