This writ petition has been filed for issue of writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 28.12.2024, wherein, the petitioner is seeking for issuance of house site patta with respect to the subject property.

2.Heard Mr.S.Natarajan, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of respondents.

3.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner placed before this Court the proceedings of the 3rd respondent dated 10.02.2025. On carefully going through the same, it is seen that the 3rd respondent has ascertained the nature of the property to be a Government poramboke land and hence, the 3rd respondent cannot straight away issue the house site patta and it is 2/4

only the Government which can take a decision in this regard. Hence, the 3rd respondent has informed the petitioner that necessary proposal will be placed before the Government and based on the decision taken by the Government, the claim made by the petitioner for house site patta will be considered. 4.Considering the above proceedings of the 3rd respondent dated 10.02.2025, there shall be a direction to the 1st respondent to act upon the representation made by the petitioner and take a final decision, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. Depending upon the decision taken by the 1st respondent, the 3rd respondent will issue the consequential proceedings. 5.This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions.
