Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that as prayed by the petitioner, disciplinary action was initiated against the second respondent and punishment was also awarded to him and subsequent to the said punishment, he retired from service and therefore, nothing survives in this petition for further adjudication. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2. In view of the above submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this writ petition is dismissed as having become infructuous. No costs.
