Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 4 to remove the encroachment and restrain the 5th & 6th respondents from disturbing the petitioners and General Public's usage of the Lane

(Sandhu) classified as Poramboke land comprised in Survey No.256/1A at Melmonavoor Village, Vellore Taluk and District 632 010 measuring 5 feet East to West on the Northern and Southern sides and measuring 89 feet North to South on the Eastern and Western sides in all totally measuring about 445 sq.ft. by considering the petitioners' representation dated 26.12.2023 within a time that will be fixed by this Court.

ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard Mr.R.Jayaprakash, learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr.T.K.Saravanan, learned Government Advocate for respondent Nos.1 to 4.

2. The learned Government Advocate, on instructions, submits that Form I notice has been issued against the alleged encroachment. Further steps pursuant thereto would be undertaken and the steps to remove the encroachment would be taken expeditiously.

In view of the said statement, no further orders are necessary. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
