2025-01-31Honourable Mr Justice Mohammed Shaffiq3 pages

W.M.P.(MD). No. 3280 of 2025 in W.P.(MD) No. 14420 of 2022 Dr. R.N. MANJULA, J.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that there is a clerical error crept in the order passed in the writ petition in paragraph No.13. Paragraph No.13 has been mentioned as under: "13. Even though the matter of seniority cannot be the subject of dispute once again before reverting one of the petitioners to a lower post, an opportunity could have been given to the petitioners. However, much water has flown under the bridge. Now, it is submitted that the next vacancies are going to arise on 01.05.2024 and petitioners herein, P.Muthuvel and Murugan will be accommodated therein."

2. Now it is submitted by the respondent-Corporation that Murugan was never reverted and it was Muthuvel who was reverted and who will get the benefit of the order. So far as Murugan is concerned, he has filed the writ petition to re-fix the seniority and the said relief has not been granted to him. Therefore, the learned counsel for the 2nd respondent submitted that a clarification has to be given in this regard.

3. No representation for the respondent / petitioner, despite the name of P.Muthuvel having been printed in the cause list. One last opportunity be granted.

4. The matter is ordered to be listed on 10.02.2026. 02.02.2026 AT
